Beginning April 1, Formosa Star service will include the freshest and finest Formosa brand fruit! Fruits especially selected by the Council of Agriculture are fresh and clean, and you can pick from tomatoes, guava, melons, litchis, grapes, wax apples and much more. There are also pastries like 'cow tongue' cakes, Yi-lan's famous honey cakes, moshu, sugar apple cakes and other delightful treats. Coffee and tea are complimentary during your trip, so sit back and relax and slowly sip away while you sample the fruits and cakes.

Each brightly-painted Formosa Star Car boasts three fully-rotating swivel chairs to each row. There are also pull-out tables, personal stereo systems, and huge panoramic windows to provide front row seats as you travel the East Coast. Enjoy the same kind of pampering you'd expect on a luxury ocean liner!

From April 1 on, the Formosa Star will feature extra entertainment on weekends, with amusing clowns, amazing magicians and delightful accordionists to keep you smiling throughout your trip. There is also a karaoke system for your convenience and a generous supply of books and magazines to while away the miles.

Beginning April 1 you'll be able to purchase special gift items on board the Formosa Star including delicious, specially-selected fresh fruits recommended by the Council of Agriculture. You'll also find taste treats from various spots along the route as well as distinctive souvenirs from the Taiwan Railway Administration.
