Beginning April 1 you can enjoy the best of Taiwan 's bountiful fresh fruit right here on the train. Choose from a wide selection of delicious tropical fruits and vegetables including tomatoes, guava, melons, litchis, grapes, wax apples… You can also feast on an inviting menu of snacks such as peanut brittle, famous Ta-hsi dried bean curd, square cookies, onion cakes and other local delicacies. Take a sip of our complimentary tea and coffee and sit back and enjoy the experience!

The bright, lively exterior of the Star Class cars is a give-away to the luxury that awaits you inside. There are three seats to a row, offering you swivel-chair views of the extra-large panoramic windows. Enjoy your meals and snacks on swing-out tables as you listen to your personal sound system and watch the world go by outside the train car. The fun starts as soon as you step inside, with first-class facilities and the finest in service to make your trip a pleasant one.

Expect the unexpected, like an accordion concert and other musical serenades. Or you can stroll over to the karaoke area and try your own skills as an entertainer. You'll find a delightful range of ways to make the miles go by quickly as you travel.

From April 1 our on-board services include the pick of Taiwan 's rich bounty of fruits and vegetables. Enjoy fresh, clean tropical fruits especially selected by the Council of Agriculture. You'll also find gift and souvenir items that you won't see anywhere else, with traditional handcrafts and intriguing specialties from all around our beautiful island as well as souvenir items from the Taiwan Railway Administration.
